The help from Switzerland
Already during the war the Swiss relief efforts began to set up. This help
was prevented however by the German administration (Deutsche Reichsbehörden) in
Vienna. First after the war generous donations arrived after Vienna.
The umbrella organization "Swiss Donation (Schweizer Spende)" (Don
Suisse) stood at the top of the Swiss relief organization. The boss of this
organization was Rodolfo Olgiati. The means of this "Swiss Donation (Schweizer
Spende)" were brought up through public collections and through the Swiss
federal government. Besides this "Swiss Donation (Schweizer Spende)"
were in Vienna still seven other Swiss relief organizations active, and of

which was conducted by Hr.Dr.Gautschi
- the Swiss Arbeiterhilfswerk under the direction of Fr.Dr.Kägi-Fuchsmann
- the Swiss mission Caritas under the direction of Hr.Dr.Criveli (the branch
in Vienna became conducted from Hr.Alfons Dull)

- the relief organization of the Protestant churches of the Switzerland,
conducted from ministers Hellstern
- the Centrale Sanitaire Suisse under the direction of Dr. of fishermen

Lüchinger
The help of the Swiss affected
- the transmitting and distributing of foods, clothes as well as tools for
daily use
- the organization of longer stays for undernourished children for the cure
in the Switzerland
The transports as well as the distribution of foreign donations took over the
international red cross from outside of the Switzerland. The Viennese delegation
became conducted from Hr.WalterFüllemann and from July 1946 from Dr.M.Moser.
