| | Swiss Mission Caritas
This Swiss mission had patronage over the children's hostiles Heiligkreuz,
Eichgraben, Maierhöfen and Roter Stadl. In these homes 1946 1.715 children were
provided to stay 4 weeks. Further were arranged a shoemaker's and tailor's
workshop, the experts came from it "Swiss Donation (Schweizer Spende)".
They provided also the necessary material.
The workshops manufactured not only clothes and shoes, but repaired also. Via
Caritas standardized packages arrived, so-called Liebesgaben-packages, to
Vienna. This was organized by theCaritas - main office in Lucerne. The Swiss
mission Caritas donated books, medicines, shoes, textiles, furniture, foods,...
From March to December 1946 97.208 kg packages arrived in Austria.
