The Childrenaid of Swiss Red Cross

The neutrality for Swiss always had a particular rank, also at the Childrenaid of Swiss red cross. At first the Swiss red cross organized a food-help, cooking food, for school-age children. These were accomplished with other foreign relief efforts (Swedish Aid (Schwedenhilfe), American Quakers,...). In the first half-year 1946 1.176.000 portions were given out alone in Vienna at children. If 26.000 children do not end 1946 received about support of less than 141 Cooking places.
