About populists
"Alternative facts" is a phrase used by U.S. Counselor to the President
Kellyanne Conway during a Meet the Press interview on January 22, 2017.
The phrase "alternative facts" was claimed to be similar to a phrase used in
Trump's 1987 book, Trump: The Art of the Deal. In that book, "truthful
hyperbole" was described as "an innocent form of exaggeration—and ... a very
effective form of promotion".

Vox Populi
His face is perfect Instagram-able
So well-known, so prominent, so namable
Words like spears thrown in the hall
Waiting for the curtain call
Headlines in the print
Carried by the wind
In every talk show ever-present
Live or via tweet or social media comment
They will be part of historiography
And that is something I would call a tragedy
Alternative facts
Having big impacts
Reduced speech like an emoticon
Blasted out into the crowd on megaphone
Truthful hyperbole and structures simplified
Colourful figures painted black and white
Randy, trendy
Politically handy
Ref:
He is so popular
Spectacular
A rising star
So full of energy
Vox Populi
Vox Populi
A plant growing in the shadow of democracy
On further reflection
Political infection
